What exactly are we talking about here?

Salomon WMN Virtual Series: a virtual Crowdcast event where you get to meet the women, the brains and the bravery behind the Salomon athletes. This is your chance to score insider intel from the pros, so come armed with questions!

When it’s happening

Um, it’s just around the corner, so diarise these dates: 11, 18 and 25 May 2021. Even better, register now (it’s free) and secure your spot.

The lowdown

We know you can’t be gathering with your closest trail buddies and hitting as many of the races as you would have liked, but that shouldn’t stop you from picking up this growing activity. Modern Wellness and Go Hustle have partnered with Salomon to host a series powered by their incredible brand ambassadors. We will be in conversation about all things trail, nutrition, empowerment – and yes, whether beginner or mountain goat, your questions will be answered!

And drumroll… the insane line-up…

Trish Eksteen

Trish Eksteen, a professional obstacle course racing (OCR) athlete, has just achieved her goal and broken a world record – running 100 half marathons in 100 days! “Like many people who do something profound in life, there is a story which drives us, motivates us and inspires us to achieve our goals. Like everyone in life, we always have a choice.” That, says Trish, is what ultimately drove her to just go for it! In her words: “we only have one shot”. We’ll be in convo with Trish to talk endurance, yes, but also goal setting, achievement, head space and more.

Nontu Mgabhi

Nontu Mgabhi loves running – the freedom and the high it gives her, she says, is priceless. It gets even better, though, when she runs for a noble and important cause, like supporting children in need. Nontu is an endurance runner who runs for a charity initiative called Go Beyond for A Child. This initiative supports children from outlying areas who have little to no resources and the focus is on education.

Nontu combines her expertise as a psychologist and her passion for running to make a difference – by day, she is a general manager of human resources at Richards Bay Coal Terminal, but her passion lies in transforming the lives of children who came from her rural home – the village of Mseleni. We’ll be chatting to Nontu about her journey, yes, but also the importance of rest; of making time for yourself; of self-care, gratitude and authenticity.

Vuyiseka Arendse and Kirsten Gerber

Vuyiseka Arendse is one of the lead characters in the new Salomon documentary “Her Way” and a member of the Juliet Crew – the first all-female firefighting team in South Africa. The Juliet Crew was among the crews deployed to fight the recent devastating fire on Table Mountain. Fell & Company’s Kirsten Gerber is the producer and client liaison for the Salomon WMN Her Way documentary and campaign.
